If you’ve ever daydreamed about pulling off the perfect heist, Red Tiger’s fresh “Take the Money” game gives you the perfect opportunity to live out your fantasy in a digital way.

While heist-themed slots are no strangers to most slot players, this particular release from the developer that features a portfolio of “top-performing original video slots and a flexible operator toolkit” puts a new spin on things with a surprising mix of spin cycles, cash pots, and calculated payout percentages.

Symbols & Payouts

Instead of the classical ski masks or slick getaways, the thieves in the game opt for a quirky clown disguise inspired by Hollywood movies. The reels are set against a steel-framed vault backdrop, perfect for creating a solid atmosphere for a robbery in progress.

The slot uses a 5 reel grid with 25 paylines and comes with four potential “Big Heist” prizes, a Score meter, and a Cut percentage tracker. Bets range from just 10 cents to $/€8 a spin.

The RTP tops out at 96.11%, but there are lower versions in circulation, so that’s worth checking. Volatility runs high, meaning wins may not come often, but when they do, they can be significant.

Symbols cover both the expected filler and the flashy loot. Card royals pay the least, while bundles of cash, watches, treasure drawers, and the masked crook make up the premium set.

Players who land five premium symbols in a line will collect 8x to 40x the original stake. Wilds can pop up on any reel, helping complete winning lines. Get five wilds in a row to enjoy a payout that will jump to 400x.

Special Features

The game plays in “Bank Heist” cycles of 20 spins. Throughout, you will get to build the Heist Score, boosted by gold coins, multipliers, or Big Heist prizes (Mini, Minor, Major, or Mega), and the Cut percentage, raised by special Cut symbols up to 100%. At the end of the cycle, you take home the percentage of your score.

Hitting three or more scatters will reward you with eight to 20 free spins. During the free spins rounds, only scoring symbols will appear, and they will lock in place until the feature comes to an end. This can really build the Score and Cut, but the feature stops once every spot is filled.

All in all, while the setup is clever enough to spark interest and the max potential win of 10,009x the stake is generous on its own, in reality, the studio’s new slot may feel a bit too mechanical for some, with the structured cycle system taking away some of the excitement.
