Play Dynasty of Ra Slot Machine for free and Review

Dynasty of Ra was released by Novomatic / Green Tube in 2014 and I have played it on several occasions, so I think I can give a detailed review of this slot machine, you should read it before playing the game to see what you can expect from this title.

There’s already a range of Cleopatra slots in Novomatic’s portfolio but this was a welcome addition as it’s a quality game that offers an interesting free spins feature that multiplies paylines. This is a good slot to play when you’re looking for a new Egyptian slot you haven’t played yet, and I personally come back to it every now and then. It’s a medium variance experience with a fun bonus feature.

Main game and paytable

The main game is a classic slot machine experience, it’s played on a standard 5×3 board and it uses 10 paylines. This is what Novomatic / Green Tube normally use, so all players will be familiar with the setup.

Theoretical return to player (RTP) is only 95.01%, which is barely enough for the classic slot players who are willing to sacrifice theoretical payout for a chance to play high variance slots. However, this particular slot doesn’t have high variance but medium, which means the game is a bit easier to play than other Novomatic slots but a chance of a really huge win is just not here.

Another notable change from other classic slots and other Novomatic slots is that the graphics are superb. They’re done in high resolution, there’s a lot of gold shining on your reels, and this Egyptian theme is just a great visual experience that fans of the genre will know how to appreciate.

There are ten normal symbols in the game, and five of them are low-paying card symbols. The two mid-value symbols pay roughly twice as good as card symbols, and then there are two main symbols, Sphynx and Cleopatra, which are the best symbols in the game. All the symbols are beautifully drawn, which especially goes for card symbols that are drawn in a way that makes them look good yet they don’t stand out when they land on the reels. The paytable seems quite rewarding, especially in case of two best symbols, and it seems big wins are possible with this setup. Eye of Horus is both a Wild and a Scatter, and therefore the most powerful symbol in the game.

Bonus features

The free spins feature is worth the wait because it’s a rewarding one. You’ll first need to land at least three Scatters on your reels, and regardless of the number of Scatters your prize will always be 10 free spins. A special feature will be in effect during the free spins game. If a winning payline is formed from left to right, the symbols that form the win will expand vertically to fill their entire respective reel, so you’ll get many winning paylines with that same win. This feature can produce huge wins if you land a win that involves a high-win symbol, or a five-of-a-kind of the same symbol as then the entire board will fill up with the same symbol and you’ll win on all 10 paylines. There is a nice animation involved with this feature, too, and the symbols all turn to golden ones.

Conclusion

Dynasty of Ra is not just another addition to the Cleopatra genre, but a quality game that gives players a chance to taste the Novomatic experience in high resolution graphics, which is rare. The free spins game is very fun to play and I was able to win money on it, though not as much as in high variance slots. In any case, this is a quality slot machine by Novomatic and you should give it a try.
