If you’ve ever played the original Pixies of the Forest, then I have little doubt that this follow up to it will also prove to be just as entertaining for you. It was for me, considering that I’ve spent a fair amount of time spinning the reels of the first game. As with that one, IGT has kept up the thrill of its appealing graphics in Pixies of the Forest 2, while there’s the inclusion of three progressive jackpots and various other special features to enhance your gaming session. Main Game and Paytable The slot features a total of five reels and three rows, so everything is quite standard in this respect. Across this setup, a total of 99 paylines have been added to it, and these lines are not something that you can alter. The bet that you place on them, however, is something that you can adjust. Pixies of the Forest 2 provides you with the chance to choose from amounts between €0.33 and €33 per spin. When it comes to the graphics that IGT has incorporated into the game, these stand out on a high level. Naturally, the game takes place within a forest, and upon the reels, you’ll see its first symbols are those of the playing card icons from J to A. Three fairies come next as symbols – the blonde, the brunette and the purple-haired fairy. The latter of these can multiply your stake by up to 500x. The game’s own logo acts as its highest paying standard symbol, though. This one can pay out up to 1,000x your wager. Not only that, but there’s a wild symbol in the game, which can stand in for all other symbols, with the exception of the jackpot and bonus icons. Wilds appear on reels two, three and four during the base game, while also showing up on reel one during free spins. Bonus Features My favourite part about Pixies of the Forest 2 is its Tumbling Reels Feature. This triggers whenever you create a winning combination on the reels. The symbols included in the win will disappear and leave room for more icons to fall into place. Should another win form, the Tumbling Reels come into action again. This will continue on until no further wins can be formed. You’ll also notice at the bottom of the reels that’s there’s a Spirit Meter. This increases by one section for every consecutive tumble of the reels with a winning outcome. If you fill this meter up with three or more “spirits”, then the Feature Wilds Spin round will begin. There are three different Feature Wilds spin possibilities that you can trigger, with one of them added to the game for the first three spirits captured in the meter. An additional Feature Wilds Spin is given for each additional spirit, up to a maximum of five. These Feature Wilds Spins include the possibility for Wild Reels, Random Wilds and Countdown Sticky Wilds. What’s more, at the start of any base game Feature Wilds Spin, wild symbols can turn into Bonus icons and trigger the Pixie Queen’s Free Spins bonus function. Alternatively, this round can be triggered by the appearance of three scatters anywhere on reels one, two and three. You just need to choose one of the bonus symbols to reveal the number of spins you’ll receive. During this round, you can receive wild multipliers, too! Finally, if three of the jackpot symbols appear anywhere on reels three, four or five, you’ll activate the jackpot game round. Select fairies until one of the jackpot meters fills up to be rewarded with one of the three progressives. Conclusion There’s so much packed into this IGT game that it’s hard to resist playing it. The reels and game have so much imagination behind them, backed up by high-quality graphics and amazing inbuilt features. I think I’ll be playing this one for a long time to come.
